About Dekendrick

Dekendrick Murray serves as the CEO and President of Murray E & C Solutions, LLC. From the small city of Quincy, Florida, Dekendrick is a strong advocate for educational access and student success. Dekendrick has 15 years of demonstrated history working toward the retention, graduation, and post-baccalaureate success of all students, with an emphasis on underrepresented populations.

Dekendrick is a 4x TRIO Program Alumni (Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Regional Institute, & Ronald E. McNair Scholars), and co-founded a national biological science conference (iDigTRIO) to support the exposure and connection of underrepresented students to STEM-related careers and graduate level programs. He also co-founded the National TRIO Student Access & Success Conference at NCCU, which focuses on student development and engagement for TRIO Scholars of all ages.

By day, Dekendrick Murray serves as the Executive Director for Student Access & Success at North Carolina Central University. In his role, Dekendrick provides oversight, visionary, and strategic leadership for initiatives for first-generation, low-income, and students with a documented disability. His current portfolio consists of First-Generation Student Success, TRIO Student Acce[SSS] Program, Student Accessibility Services, Graham High TRIO Upward Bound, Person County TRIO Upward Bound Program, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund SOAR Program,

Above all, Dekendrick values his faith in God, family and preparing the next generation to be productive and influential members of society. He is married to his college sweetheart, Sabreen Murray, and they have one child.
